Before the Trecento epoch, the European music
had been dominated by the French for approximatively 150 years.
In the beginning of the XIV - th century new perspectives appeared in music
: the polyphony gained the secular music, so the melodic line assigned
to the voice was embellished and got additional harmonies.
This was an immense modernisation of the European music development.
Some songs are played as instrumental pieces.
